


Action Against Hunger has been at the forefront of the fight against hunger for over 40 years. Their mission is to save, improve and protect lives by eliminating hunger through the prevention, detection, and treatment of undernutrition, especially during and after emergency crises caused by situations of conflict, displacement, poverty, discrimination, inequality, or natural disasters. With funding from The Al Basma Foundation, Action Against Hunger is supporting 22,893 people in Sudan with life-saving treatment and preventative services to tackle malnutrition.


Action for Humanity mobilises and responds to emergencies and critical needs through humanitarian, development, and peace building action, in order to empower affected communities to survive, recover, and build a better future. With support from The Al Basma Foundation, Action for Humanity is improving food security for 9,000 displaced and affected people in Sudan.


Amref Health Africa envisions lasting health change in Africa by catalysing community-led, people-centred primary health systems and addressing the social determinants of health. With the support of The Al Basma Foundation, Amref is expanding access to quality maternal and newborn health services in Greater Tonj, South Sudan, where maternal mortality remains among the highest in the world. This partnership is addressing critical gaps in maternal healthcare by strengthening emergency obstetric and newborn care, enhancing midwifery and clinical officer training, improving referral systems, and equipping health facilities with essential life-saving resources. By increasing access to quality health services, this initiative is driving improved health outcomes for vulnerable communities.


Beit el Baraka is a Lebanon based charity supporting Lebanese people living in poverty. With funding from The Al Basma Foundation, Beit el Baraka is enhancing food security for 1,050 displaced people in Beirut by providing hot meals as part of the emergency response. Additionally, 155 families in Beirut and Mount Lebanon will receive monthly food parcels over six months.


Concern Worldwide is dedicated to reducing suffering and working towards the elimination of extreme poverty. They operate in the world’s poorest countries, working with people living in extreme poverty to achieve major improvements in their lives, which will last and spread without ongoing support from Concern. With funding from The Al Basma Foundation, Concern Worldwide is improving access to maternal healthcare for highly vulnerable and hard-to-reach communities in Aweil North, South Sudan, aiming to reduce maternal mortality and morbidity.


READ Foundation UK provides accessible, inclusive and quality education. Their goal is to empower through education by equipping children and youth with the knowledge and skills required to shape their futures with dignity, and to foster development across generations.
The Al Basma Foundation is supporting two projects with READ Foundation UK. One is reducing the instances of early child marriages through education in Sindh, Pakistan and the other is providing education and emergency support to refugees and displaced children in Southern Lebanon.

Rotary Club of Calcutta Metropolitan Trust has been in operation since 1986 supporting people in India. The Trust runs the PACE Learning Centre, a school providing safe, inclusive education for over 250 girls near Kolkata. The Al Basma Foundation is sponsoring the education of 23 girls at the school.


Street Child is dedicated to advancing educational opportunities, economic empowerment, and protection measures for the world’s most underserved communities. With funding from The Al Basma Foundation, Street Child is working in Nigeria to financially empower 270 women caregivers by supporting them to start a small business and connect 540 of their children to education.


The Circle of Women economically empowers and ends violence against marginalised and vulnerable women across the world by building a network of Global Feminist changemakers who fund, advocate, and amplify. With funding from The Al Basma Foundation, The Circle is empowering survivors of Gender Based Violence in Nigeria through training and skills in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics to obtain employment, independence and remove the stigma of being a Gender Based Violence survivor in Nigerian society.


The Helen Loewenstein Memorial Trust supports initial midwifery training in Liberia. It pays the course, accommodation essential equipment fees of Liberian student midwives who would not otherwise have sufficient funds to train to become qualified midwives. The Al Basma Foundation is sponsoring the fees of some of these student midwives so they can complete their degrees and qualifications.
